The story of how two passionate rescuers built Jharkhand’s premier Animal Rehabilitation Center.
Established on October 2, 2016, and officially registered in 2021 (Registration Number: 2021/JSR/24/BK4/1),
Jan Seva Sangh Trust is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, treatment, and care of cows and
dogs.
Our mission is to give a new life and a dignified existence to helpless and injured animals.
This service began with a heartfelt incident experienced by our founder, Mr. Suraj Kumar. One day, he saw a
bull
near his shop that had a deep injury in its leg and was unable to stand. He immediately called a doctor and
arranged
for its treatment. Miraculously, just 15 minutes after the treatment, the bull stood up again. This moment
deeply
touched him and made him realize that there must be many such animals in pain across the city with no one to
care for them.
With this thought, Jan Seva Sangh Trust was born. He started this noble work along with a few friends, and
today it has grown
into a registered trust that continuously helps injured and stray animals.
Our trust holds the following recognitions:
12A Certificate Number: AAETJ0040PE20231
80G Certificate Number: AAETJ0040PF20231
To rescue, treat, and care for injured and abandoned animals, especially cows and dogs, ensuring they receive proper medical attention, love, and a dignified life. We aim to spread awareness and inspire compassion in society towards voiceless beings who deserve kindness and protection.
To build a compassionate society where no animal suffers due to neglect or cruelty. We envision a future where every injured or stray animal gets timely help, shelter, and a safe environment to live in peace.

“What started as a small act of compassion has now become a life-changing mission — not just for animals, but for me and everyone involved in this journey.
The day I saw that injured bull struggling to stand, I realized how invisible the pain of street animals often goes. That moment didn’t just move me — it changed me. I understood that even a small effort can bring huge relief to a suffering soul.
With the support of a few kind-hearted friends, we began helping one animal at a time. Today, Jan Seva Sangh Trust has become a voice for the voiceless — rescuing, treating, and caring for hundreds of helpless animals.
My dream is to build a society where animals are treated with respect, compassion, and dignity — because kindness to animals is kindness to humanity.
I’m deeply grateful to every volunteer, donor, and supporter who stands with us. This mission belongs to all of us. Let’s continue this journey of love and service — together.”
