Our Journey

From a heartfelt rescue to a growing movement for animals

2016 - The Beginning

A group of passionate friends led by Mr. Suraj Kumar began helping stray animals in Jamshedpur. The journey started when a bull with a leg injury was treated personally. Just 15 minutes after treatment, it stood up again — inspiring the birth of this mission.

2017 - Small Acts, Big Hearts

Continued rescuing injured cows and dogs around the neighborhood. The team grew slowly, with help from volunteers and well-wishers who donated medicines and food.

2019 - Gaining Momentum

Started organizing awareness drives, community feeding programs, and field treatments. Over 300 animals were helped that year.

2020 - Feeding During Lockdown

Despite the COVID-19 lockdown, daily feeding drives were continued. Volunteers braved the streets to feed and treat stray animals.

2021 - Official Trust Registration

Registered as Jan Seva Sangh Trust (Reg. No: 2021/JSR/24/BK4/1). Received 12A and 80G certifications. Began treating more animals with better facilities.

2022 - First Recovery Centre

Set up a temporary animal recovery center in Dalma. Cows, dogs, and even birds received proper post-treatment care.

2023 - Foundation for Shelter

Laid the foundation for a permanent animal shelter and rehabilitation facility. Aimed to provide long-term care for old and disabled animals.

2024 - Expanding Our Reach

Launched awareness campaigns in local schools and organized 3 blood donation drives in the name of animal welfare. Also rescued over 500 animals this year.

2025 - A Growing Movement

With growing support, Jan Seva Sangh Trust (Resqink Association for Wildlife Welfare) is now a full-scale organization with its own rescue helpline, ambulance, and veterinary care units. We continue to serve helpless animals with love, dignity, and commitment.

Message from the Founder

“It all started with one injured bull near my shop. In 15 minutes of treatment, his life changed — and so did mine. I realized how many voiceless beings live in silent pain, waiting for someone to care. Jan Seva Sangh Trust was born from this realization — and with the support of a few compassionate friends, we made it our mission to help one animal at a time.”

– Suraj Kumar, Founder
